Project Description:
The Ocean of Opportunities project was born as a response to the shortage of personnel in Russia, the outflow of youth from the Russian Far East and the lack of qualified young sailors.
The Russian Crab Group of Companies used an ecosystem approach that united schoolchildren, cadets of maritime educational institutions, school teachers and parents of prospective university students.
The tailored programs were developed for various audience groups, including:
- career guidance model game;- Young Sailor School Club;
- specialized shift in the camp;
- festival of maritime professions;
- training course for teachers of career guidance activities;
- a system of interaction with cadets through collecting needs from them.
As a result, over two years of work, more than 10,000 people have been reached, the number of trainees on the company's ships have increased many times over, and about 140 young specialists have been employed, which helped reduce the average age of the company's sailors from 45 to 39 years.
