Project Decsription:
The “Wings of Communication: A Transparent Path to Onboarding” project is designed to optimise the probationary period for new hires through the implementation of a virtual assistant. The heart of the initiative is Welcome Bot Safia, a Telegram-based onboarding assistant that guides newcomers at the Confectionery House. The bot provides essential information about the company, shares practical tips in both Russian and Uzbek, and connects new employees with their assigned mentors. 

Between July 2023 and July 2024, the company opened 41 new branches, creating a pressing need to strengthen internal communication. The introduction of Safia significantly accelerated interaction among HR, mentors, and new hires, while also streamlining internal communications overall.

Safia actively collects feedback by asking onboarding-related questions and generating analytics on engagement and employee sentiment. Over the probation period, 777 new employees registered via the bot, generating 1,166 comments on the training process. The average engagement rate reached 73.91%, with 87.56% of users recommending the bot-assisted onboarding, and an average pulse survey rating of 4.68 out of 5.

The bot’s implementation led to a 23% increase in mentorship effectiveness (from 54% to 78%) and reduced the workload on the HR department, allowing it to focus more on analytics and strategic improvements to the onboarding process. By automating communication and feedback collection, Safia improved the quality of training, strengthened mentorship, and enhanced overall productivity within the company.
