Project Description:
Over the past four years, Norilsk Nickel has grown its workforce by more than 10%, hiring over 20,000 employees — many of whom have relocated to the challenging conditions of the Far North. For these newcomers, finding support both in and beyond the workplace is crucial. Surveys and research revealed a strong demand among young employees for opportunities to unlock their potential, build friendships, and connect with like-minded peers.

In response, the company launched the “In Good Company” corporate community in 2022 for employees under the age of 35. Its mission is to support professional and creative development in a dynamic, engaging way. With more than 6,700 registered users, the platform is voluntary and fuelled by a referral system that drives organic growth.

The community offers a range of activities and independent initiatives across six key themes: adaptation, development, career, social impact, creativity, and communication. Participants earn points and experience levels, which can be exchanged for rewards — while also tracking their personal growth within the platform.

Beyond fostering individual development, In Good Company enhances cross-functional collaboration and helps integrate young professionals into the company’s business processes. Today, it stands as Norilsk Nickel’s largest voluntary corporate initiative, effectively aligning the aspirations of the younger generation with the evolving needs of the business.
