Project Description:
With over 79,000 employees, the majority of whom (up to 75%) do not have access to personal computers due to the nature of their work, Norilsk Nickel faced a critical challenge: how to provide all employees with equal, modern access to digital services. The answer was Supernika — Russia’s first-of-its-kind corporate super app.

Supernika is not just a mobile version of existing websites or portals. It is a fully integrated digital ecosystem designed to unify and connect a vast, geographically dispersed workforce. The app enables real-time feedback and two-way communication, creating a single digital space for the entire company.

It also functions as a robust IT infrastructure, enabling the business to reduce time-to-market by more than 5x when rolling out new services to employees. Already, the super app integrates over 40 services on a single platform — from employee self-service tools and medical appointments to career consultations and performance management. Managers can now set KPIs, track team progress, and support talent development — all from a smartphone.

As of June 2024, 53,600 employees are registered in the app — representing over 65% of the entire workforce. The app has dramatically improved internal communications: news can now be targeted to specific interests, and message delivery speed has increased more than fivefold. Employees themselves have created over 400,000 work-related chats within the platform.

Supernika has become more than just a digital solution — it’s a transformative infrastructure that enables rapid integration of new processes into the company’s information ecosystem, from launching employee services to automating risk management.
