Project Description:
In a time of growing uncertainty, Korzinka is committed to leading not only in retail but also in social impact — with a strong focus on gender equality.
The company launched a comprehensive Women’s Leadership Program aimed at boosting women’s confidence and increasing their representation in leadership roles. The initiative began with a leadership training series for female supervisors. The first cohort of 50 participants completed an intensive development program called “Yulduz”, with their progress tracked over the course of a year.
In parallel, Korzinka hosted workshops and established a mentorship system featuring successful women leaders. This contributed to a more inclusive corporate culture and created a strong support network for female employees.
To combat burnout and support mental well-being, the company launched the “Lola” Women’s Club — a space for connection, peer exchange, and psychological support. The initiative gained strong internal backing and became a source of inspiration for others.
Korzinka also took concrete steps to combat domestic violence and harassment, implementing a formal Anti-Harassment Policy, launching a confidential hotline, and introducing anonymous feedback tools via the corporate portal. The company also partnered with the UNDP’s “Call Umida” program to provide assistance to affected women.
Measurable Impact:
- 30% of Yulduz participants were promoted
- The number of women managers increased by 28%, and female supervisors by 34%
- Korzinka became the first local company in Uzbekistan to receive EDGE ASSESS certification for gender equality
Korzinka’s Women’s Leadership Initiative has become a benchmark for other organisations, helping to shape a more equitable and inclusive workplace across the region.
